SURVIVORS’ NETWORK COMMEMORATES WORLD DAY AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS..

Survivors’ Network Africa, a Kumba-based Non-Governmental Organization has championed the commemoration of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons' Designated by the United Nations organization, the 30th of July is a day to raise awareness of the problem of human trafficking and a call for action to end this form of modern-day slavery. In commemoration of this day, this Kumba-based non-profit organization, conducted a series of Radio and TV talks to sensitize the population.  With support from Volunteers, they embarked on a massive sensitization on the streets, posting flyers in motor parks and educational facilities to share information, raise awareness about the growing problems of human trafficking, and to effect change that will ultimately end this crime. According to Ebot Whitney, programs coordinator, human trafficking is a crime that occurs all over, in our community, and even in our homes, involving labor exploitation, organ harvesting, and child labor. ENTER THE MUKETE CUP CHAPTER TWO.

  The second Edition of the Mukete cup has kicked off in Kumba. Organized by Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko, Paramount Ruler of the Bafaw, this competition provides an opportunity  for all villages which comprise the Bafaw tribe to  come together and compete in a football tournament.   Launched under the theme “Football at the center of Advancing Unity and Togetherness of the Bafaw”, this second edition was opened by Prince Ndoki Mukete, who was representing the Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko the Paramount Ruler. In an address, Prince Ndoki Mukete urged the players to display a spirit of fair play in the course of the competition, while insisting that football is a beautiful game which should always gather and not separate people. The opening encounter which took place at GPS (Government Practicing School) field, Kumba town, between Kumba Town FC and last year’s champions Bolo FC ended in a goalless draw. KUMBA CELEBRATES DISABILITY AWARENESS DAY (DAD)

  Persons with disability from Kumba and its environs gathered at the Women’s Empowerment Center in Kumba on the 17th of July to commemorate the Disability Awareness Day. (DAD) This firth edition in Cameroon was celebrated under the theme “Changing the lives of Persons lives of persons with disability. Disability awareness day is set aside for persons with disability to come together, voice their plights, encourage each other as well as jointly seek ways to improve their lives. In his opening speech, the Cameroon country coordinator Takang Aya Ayuk who equally doubles as the President of “Close the Gap” thanked their UK partner and initiator of the Disability awareness day, Dave Thompson for his support, which went a long way to ensuring a successfully celebration in Kumba. KUMBA ASSOCIATION OF OHIO ORGANISE FUNDRAISER GALA

An event to raise funds and give back to Kumba has taken place in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Organised by KUMBA Association of OHIO , this first annual fundraiser and Gala had a massive and impressive attendance. The presence of guest from Atlanta, Sweden, Canada and other parts of the world, spoke volumes of the crowd pulling potentials of the city of Kumba. A special Guest in attendance was HRH.Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko, Paramount Chief of the Bafaws, who traveled all the way from Kumba, to grace this great event with his presence. This Association was created with the aim of  bringing  "Kumba People" in Ohio together, to give back to their beloved city Kumba. According to Edward Ekwe Besingi, PRO of the Association, this event was a huge success and a symbol of the unity and love for the green city of Kumba. TZY PANCHAK BECOMES BRAND AMBASSADOR FOR TECNO MOBILE

 Singing sensation Tzy Panchak has announced his new deal as brand ambassador of Tecno Mobile. On his official Facebook page, he wrote '..... I am pleased to announce that I am the new brand ambassador for Tecno Mobile...' This announcement came a few hours after Tzy revealed July 6th as the official release date for his highly anticipated ' Love & War' album. Until now, his 14- track album had been streaming exclusively on Boomplay. Tzy Panchak who is originally from Kumba, remains one artists who has done the highest number of collaborations with upcoming artists, supporting and giving them a solid foundation in this rather challenging music industry. A few weeks ago, he released a song titled 'My Life' in which he featured 10 upcoming singers and rappers. In order to give fans a foretaste of his album, he has released 'All over me' which happens to be track 9 of his ' Love & war' album. He remain grateful to his supportive fans and pro
