KUMBA ASSOCIATION OF OHIO ORGANISE FUNDRAISER GALA


An event to raise funds and give back to Kumba has taken place in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

Organised by KUMBA Association of OHIO , this first annual fundraiser and Gala had a massive and impressive attendance.

The presence of guest from Atlanta, Sweden, Canada and other parts of the world, spoke volumes of the crowd pulling potentials of the city of Kumba.

A special Guest in attendance was HRH.Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko, Paramount Chief of the Bafaws, who traveled all the way from Kumba, to grace this great event with his presence.

This Association was created with the aim of  bringing  "Kumba People" in Ohio together, to give back to their beloved city Kumba.

According to Edward Ekwe Besingi, PRO of the Association, this event was a huge success and a symbol of the unity and love for the green city of Kumba.

  The second Edition of the Mukete cup has kicked off in Kumba. Organized by Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko, Paramount Ruler of the Bafaw, this competition provides an opportunity  for all villages which comprise the Bafaw tribe to  come together and compete in a football tournament.   Launched under the theme “Football at the center of Advancing Unity and Togetherness of the Bafaw”, this second edition was opened by Prince Ndoki Mukete, who was representing the Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko the Paramount Ruler. DELA NGANGUH TAKES KUMBA OLD BOYS AND GIRLS ON A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE

 Members of the 'Kumba old boys and girls worldwide' Facebook community have in the past few weeks been gripped by a feeling of nostalgia after a group member, Dela Nganguh, took them on a trip down memory lane. Over the past few weeks, Dela Nganguh, from Ntoko Street Kumba, who is currently based in the UK, started publishing a series of articles in the group, which he captioned 'Kumba, untold stories. Out of his desire to transform a group which was fast becoming a venue for obituary announcements into a learning medium, he has taken members on a journey to the past by sharing in-depth stories about about the evolution of Photography in Kumba, the Yuruba businessmen and present day Lido Street, as well as the contribution Dela Nganguh of the Ghanaian community in Kumba. HERE COMES MEME CULTURAL FESTIVAL 2022

  The next few months seem promising as Kumba prepares to host a cultural Jamboree -   Meme cultural festival in 2022. This exciting news was made public during a press conference which took place   at the Kumba I council hall. The press conference which was attended by representatives of cultural groups, the media, and members of the public, was meant to create awareness of and officially announce the coming of this great cultural rendez-vous. In his opening words, Pastor Ojong David, Director of Meme cultural Festival, stated that the festival is   a unique opportunity for Sons and Daughters of different backgrounds to unite and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the Meme Division.
